WordPress
Connect RankRo SEO to your WordPress site via the REST API and publish articles automatically. No plugin required — just a WordPress Application Password.
Note:How articles appear on your site (formatting, mobile responsiveness) depends on your WordPress theme and CSS. We deliver semantic content; your theme controls the styling.
Setup instructions
To get started, go to Integrations → WordPress.
1. Enter the site URL
Add the full address of your WordPress site (e.g. https://your-site.ro) in the RankRo SEO dashboard, at Integrations → WordPress.
2. Create an Application Password
In the WordPress Admin, go to Users → Profile → Application Passwords (at the bottom of the page). Enter a name (e.g. RankRo) and click 'Add New Application Password'. Copy the generated password — it is shown only once.
3. Enter the Username and Application Password
Enter your WordPress account username and the application password generated in the previous step in the fields in the RankRo SEO dashboard.
4. Test the Connection
Click 'Test connection' to verify that RankRo SEO can connect to your site. If an error appears, check that the REST API is not blocked by a security plugin.
5. Categories and Authors
Articles are published under the WordPress account you connected with; the category and tags are assigned automatically based on the generated article. Articles are published automatically each generation cycle.
Once connected, articles are published automatically according to your content calendar.
Post Settings
Categories and tags are assigned automatically from the article data; the author is the connected WordPress user.
Troubleshooting
If you run into connection problems, check that your site has the REST API enabled.
