Examples: https://schema.org/Article, https://schema.org/Product, https://schema.org/Recipe. Each schema defines properties (e.g. Article has: headline, image, datePublished, author, content). Markup: a <script type="application/ld+json"> JSON object with schema types and properties. Schema.org is the standard: all search engines recognize and use it for rich results and knowledge.
